Ideas to get kid involved in a New Year’s Eve toast

There’s always something vibrant, unique and almost overwhelming about New Year’s Eve parties. The farewell of an year (with its good and with its bad), the approaching of a new beginning, the glitter, the champagne, the good vibes – all these things really do “get” to everyone. We all feel almost ecstatic as the 12 o’clock tick approaching – and this includes the little ones as well.

If you will have kids invited to your NYE party, make them feel included in the toast as well. After all, they have the “right” to be part of the celebration as well – and truth be told, there are many ways to make them feel involved. Here are some of the best ones:

  • Don’t give them “real” champagne flutes, but plastic ones. Especially if they are very young, they can break glass champagne flutes and hurt themselves – and you really don’t want that.
  • Obviously, the kids will not be allowed with alcoholic drinks. But there are plenty of other things you can fill their glasses with. For example, cranberry juice has a very “festive” taste and the little ones will enjoy it (plus, it looks like wine). “Ice” tea will work very well too and so will a large variety of refreshing drinks.
  • If you want the little ones to feel really special, fill their flutes with a special non-alcoholic cocktail. There are A LOT of options out there and they are all delicious, alcohol-free and “fancy” at the same time too.
  • Hot cocoa is a great treat for every kid, so you could have the little ones “toast” with that too. Just fill up some glasses with delicious hot cocoa and allow the children to enjoy it.

If you want to mark the passing into the New Year with something really special and if you want to offer a really special gift for someone who means a lot to you, don’t forget to check out with Framed Flutterflies. Our Majestic, Classic and Grande Flutterflies are the kind of presents that are full of emotions, grace and beauty – and they will be manufactured to the highest standards so that they last many New Year’s Eves from now on too!
